1. How far are the villas from the ferry / barge?
The villas are approximately 15 minutes walk from the Tangalooma passenger ferry. The 4WD barge (the Mi-Cat) from Lytton, docks at the "Tangalooma Wrecks", just a short drive (but a very long walk) to the villa carpark. We strongly suggest using the Tangalooma passenger ferry if you are not bringing a 4WD vehicle.

2. How do I get my luggage to and from the villa?
Tags are provided for your luggage when you check your bags onto the ferry at Pinkenba. Label them with your villa number and they will be delivered to the luggage bay closest to your villa. The luggage bay for villa 5 is on the resort (southern) side of villa 5. The luggage bay for villas 14 and 20 is on the service road at the rear of villa 14. The luggage bay for villa 36 is in front of villa 33. Please be sure to notify reception at least three hours before pickup, for your departure.

3. What is stocked in the resort shop?
The shop stocks souvenirs of Moreton Island as well as basic groceries - milk, bread, drinks, snacks, meat and toiletries.

4. Are the resort facilities available to guests?
Yes, all the resort facilities are available for our guests to use. Nominal charges may apply to some activities.

5. Will I be able to feed the dolphins?
Due to the amount of requests for new tours at Tangalooma, the resort is trialling a new package that includes dolphin feeding. The package includes a 2.5 to 3 hour Eco Cruise out on one of the Resort vessels travelling to the sea grass banks where you can see Turtles, Dugong and Dolphins in the wild under the guidance of a Resort marine biologist. This is followed by a talk on dolphin behaviour before the dolphin feed, data collection at the beginning of the programme that explains what the behaviours the dolphins are actually demonstrating mean, followed up by going into the water and actually feeding the dolphins with one of the qualified Resort staff. The cost for this activity is $85 for adults and $55 for children and is only available on a standby basis due to its popularity and discount price structure. This activity can only be booked through Resort Reception.

6. Is there a DVD/VIDEO/CD player in the villas?
Yes, all villas contain a player which plays DVD's, videos and audio CD's.

7. Is there a BBQ?
There are 2 resort BBQ's in front of villa 5 that all our guests are free to use. They are cleaned daily by the resort. Villas 14, 20 and 36 both have barbeques at the rear of the villa.

8. Is there any surf?
There are only small waves if any on the resort side of the island. The other side of the island has much larger waves. 4WD's can be hired to travel there. It is a 7km drive. The resort also runs Island tours.

9. Where do I pick up the key to my villa?
There is no need to pick up your key from reception upon your arrival at Tangalooma. Your key information will be posted to you after your booking deposit is paid.

10. Is Linen provided in the villas?
Yes. Sheets and towels are provided for 8 people. Please bring your own beach towels.

12. Where does the ferry leave from?
The ferry departs from Holt Street, Pinkenba, Brisbane. For a street map, please click here. The ferry departs from the wharf you arrive at on Moreton Island. For bookings, call Tangalooma Resort Reservations on (07) 3637 2118.

13. Is there a car park where the ferry leaves from?
Guests can park at the Tangalooma Terminal at Holt Street, Pinkenba for $6 per day, or $30 for a week.

14. Are EFTPOS and ATM facilities available at the resort?
Yes, there are both EFTPOS and ATM facilities available at the resort. There are EFTPOS facilities at the reception, shop, restaurant, bistro and bar. There is one ATM, located near the bar.

15. When is the whale watching season?
The whale watching season runs from mid June to the end of October. The resort runs cruises during this period.

16. Is there internet access at the resort?
Yes. One option is to use one of the three internet kiosks available near the Bar at the resort. They cost $2 for 10 minutes.
A high speed wireless internet network is also available to use at the resort, run by Clear Networks. To use this you will need to bring your laptop, and you will also need to sit in an area where the network exists. The best place is any of the seating near the bar but reception can be gained as far up as the jetty. This network cannot be accessed from the villas. To use the network, simply sit in the area mentioned above with your laptop's wireless sensor turned on, then browse to any web page. You will be presented with the available plans to sign up to, which range from hours to days of usage. You will need a credit card to sign up. Please see the reception upon your arrival to ask for an instruction card for the wireless internet network.

17. Are the villas on the beach?
Yes. All three of our villas are about 20m from the beach.

18. How far is the 4WD car park from the villas?
The 4WD car park is approximately a 5 minute walk from the villas. Trolleys are provided for your luggage, however occasionally you may have to search for one that has not been returned.

20. When and where can I buy fuel if I bring a 4WD?
You may buy fuel at the Bulwer Garage in Bulwer (which is roughly a 30 minute drive North of the resort depending on conditions), which is open from 8:30am to 4:30pm, every day except Tuesdays, when the Garage is closed.

21. Where can I hire a 4WD to take to Tangalooma?
